Work with Dr. McMillan

Working with Dr. McMillan is a very different than what you might have had with other therapy or what you’ve seen in movies. It’s a “directive” model, where Dr. McMillan brings as much to the table in a session as his patients do.

His practice is open to a select group of individuals and couples for in-person counseling. Please note that Dr. McMillan does not accept insurance. Patients are responsible for the full cost of their session at the time of service using cash, check or Venmo.

Individual Counseling

Dr. McMillan offers counseling for adults, youth, and families dealing with trauma, major life changes, or other challenges.

Couples Counseling

Whether you’re contemplating a divorce or just want to make your marriage stronger, Dr. McMillan can help.

Why book a consult with Dr. McMillan?

“Since I have over thirty-five years experience, people who come to see me usually work through their issues in a few sessions. The reason people spend less time in therapy with me is because I listen carefully. But I am more than a potted plant; I participate actively in the session. And because I have written a great deal about the psychotherapy experience, I offer opportunities to read, develop new skills, and practice what you are learning between sessions.”
—Dr. McMillan
